🚨 Checkout Reminder:
If a student plans to check out after completing an exam, they must bring a written parent note to the last tested teacher they have that day.
❌ Phone calls and emails will not be accepted — written note only.
✅ Students who are exempt from finals or have already taken the EOC are excused.

📚 TAP II students read books about teaching, shared why they’re pursuing education and had Southside #students sign their event t-shirts to remember their semester together.
🍬 #FCCLA students organized teaching goodie bags for every #student.
👩🏫 Southside students dressed as their favorite teachers, and Ms. Crystal Hathcock's 5th grade class won the prize for most participation, all dressing as Coach Martin!

Under the guidance of #ShelbyvilleCentralHighSchool Agriscience instructor Morgan Grannas, #students got hands-on experience at the TWRA Normandy Fish Hatchery—learning how parent fish are collected, spawned and hatched and how ponds are filled and maintained throughout the seasons.
Students explored the process of raising walleye, crappie and striped bass and even helped harvest over 85,000 crappie in just two days! Hatchery Manager Nathan Singer led a tour of the facility, including the areas where eggs will be spawned and hatched this spring.
A day of real-world learning, teamwork and science in action! 🐟🌱

At their November school board meeting, #BedfordCountySchools recognized outstanding 1st and 2nd grade teachers whose students reached Level 4 and Level 5 growth on the Universal Reading Screener for the 2024–2025 school year! 📚✨
Each fall, #students take the Universal Reading Screener, which measures key literacy skills including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. They take it again in the spring, and the results highlight just how much students have grown.
