New hands-on learning opportunities are taking shape in the #Agriculture class at the #ShelbyvilleCentralHighSchool Annex!🥚🐓
#Students have introduced a flock of chickens and their coop to campus along with a rooster named Bobby, 👑🐓 who has confidently taken on the role of campus supervisor. Penelope, the black and white Barred Rock hen, is a class favorite!
Through daily care and maintenance, students are gaining hands-on experience in animal science, responsibility and sustainable agriculture.
🥚 Even better, the eggs collected are being used in the #CulinaryArts program, where student chefs incorporate them into their dishes.
It’s a real-world farm-to-table connection happening right on the SCHS campus!

🫀🔬 Hands-on learning is happening at SCHS!
Students in Ms. Becky Davis' HOSA class at #ShelbyvilleCentralHighSchool recently explored the Cardiology Unit with a unique, real-world experience examining a sheep heart. 🐑❤️ This interactive lab allowed #students to study the heart’s chambers, valves and overall structure while deepening their understanding of cardiovascular health and medical careers.
This experience helps students connect classroom learning to future pathways in healthcare and is inspiring the next generation of professionals.

We are incredibly proud of SCHS senior Seth Sharp!
After visiting Washington, D.C. his junior year and witnessing the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Seth was inspired by the wreath-laying ceremony honoring fallen and missing soldiers. From that moment, he set a goal to one day take part in it.
This year, Seth made that goal a reality. On behalf of SCHS Student Council, he and his family traveled to Arlington to place a wreath—honoring those who gave everything for our country. 🇺🇸❤️
A powerful and meaningful experience that Seth will never forget. We are proud of you! 🦅
