#BedfordCountySchools extends our sincere gratitude to Volunteer Behavioral Health for their generous support and grant funding for calm corner spaces in our middle schools.

Thanks to this support, all six BCS middle schools will now feature dedicated calm corners designed to promote #student wellness and emotional regulation. 🧠✨ Each space includes comforting tools such as a beanbag chair, sound machine, breathing pal and other calming tools to help #students reset and refocus during the school day.🫶

#ThankYou for this investment in student well-being and for helping us create more supportive learning environments across the district. 💛

Our 8th grade ELA students recently wrapped up their Passion Projects inspired by the Elizabethan Era and Shakespeare! 🎭✨

Each student selected a personal passion, proposed their own project, designed a rubric, and brought their ideas to life through both a physical product and a presentation.

The creativity was incredible! Students crafted Elizabethan hairstyles using mannequins—and even recruited their younger TMS siblings as models—built papier-mâché drama and plague masks, designed 3D models of the Globe Theatre, and created a variety of breads, pastries, custards, and stews for classmates to enjoy. We also saw some truly impressive artwork!

We’re so proud of their hard work, creativity, and willingness to take ownership of their learning. 👏
